Has anyone seen A Clockwork Orange?

My husband got this movie the other day because he was watching some show about the greatest movies ever made or something like that and this movie was like number 1 i think. well we watched it and i personally thought it was awful. maybe i didnt understand it completely or something but i can think of numerous movies that are better than that. if you have seen it, what is your opinion about it? i mean, i understand they did whatever they wanted despite any consequences but i just didnt think it was one of the best movies ever made.
