How do i make it easyer to deal with my step children ages 7 and 9 two boys?

my step children all they do is argue fight bikker and love to say the hate word their in taekwondo and if they misbehave at home they have to do push ups and do laps but i want something to do at home and their dad is at work for long hrs so i have to deal with them and they try to tell me what to do
