it is hard to say what the average number of stents placed would be. It depends on the lesion and the doctor. I have seen 5 or more placed placed in one procedure but it is to the patients benefit to keep the number low. The more stents the more risk of complications and if they are drug eluding the more drug in the artery. As for the price of a catheter they are around $100 each I would say but it depends on the catheter.
